I have been using the RainPoint timer for a little more than a year now and I have been very pleased with the product. I know that it has been just over a year because I had one (out of four that I have been using) break down a few weeks short of the 1-year mark. Something had gone wrong with the water seal and water ruined the electronics. Even though I didn't contact them until just after the 1-year mark they still replaced the unit. Their support team was friendly and easy to work with.I did try a different timer before the RainPoint. It is not an exhaustive comparison (with only one product to compare it to), but the biggest advantage of the RainPoint timer over the other brand was the battery life. It would outlast the other time by several weeks before the batteries needed to be changed.

So far, this thing works better than any one I got at the hardware store. I love that it has a clock, and that you can program the time that the watering starts. I also love that you can adjust the watering duration down to 1 minute! It has worked well so far, with no leaks. It came with replacement gaskets and some teflon tape for the threads. I can’t speak much about the durability, but it came with a 5-year warranty, which is nice. You do need two AA batteries (I thought I read somewhere it takes AAA, but the slot is AA). Setup was super easy, and it came with step-by-step instructions, but it is also easy to figure out on your own. Overall, it works well for the price!

I was surprised of the ease of programming, use and reliability of the RainPoint timers.I have used many different types of watering timers from different manufacturers and most are confusing to program and operate .My home is in a small neighborhood with large lots.I am now using 8 of the RainPoint water timers.The rapid programming makes it easy to set up a sequence of watering. I did have a timer start to malfunction. When I contacted RainPoint customer support, they responded very quickly. They had replaced the timer with in just a few days.Not only is this a great product, but their customer support is OUTSTANDING! (Believe me, I know this is hard to find sometimes).Now. RainPoint are the only watering timers that I will use now.

I've wanted an automatic sprinkler system for a while, but didn't want to spend $1000's on an inground system. Decided on the Rainpoint sprinkler timer based on good reviews. Very easy to program and install. All the parts are included, and the instructions are easy to follow. I'm holding back a star because I haven't owned it long enough to see if it works properly.

This water timer for a hose connection is wonderful. I have dealt with many different brands and this is by far the best. The display is extremely easy to read and the settings are clear and straightforward. If setting your digital clock is easy than setting this is even easier. I am very impressed with the solid action of the solenoid. There is a "comforting" click when the valve turns on and off. Just from the sound of it, the valve should work for a long time to come. Honestly, I didn't even read the instructions and had the timer up and running within a few minutes. If I need more in the future, this will be the brand I turn to.

So far, this time has performed as expected. It was easy to set up and the instructions were well written. I first set it to water daily but then decided to go with every 3 days. Changing the frequency was simple and it did not require me to set up everyone all over again. A simple turn of the dial and switching to longer frequencies was all it took. The unit was built to be waterproof so there is no concern yet with the display collecting water. Also, the timer had a good seal on the faucet, with no water leaking. I did use a little bit of teflon tape to be sure. The unit seems to be durable, but time will tell. I will update my review if there are any problems.

I have had this timer for a year and it's been very reliable. I bought a second one that developed a problem with the screen about 11 months after the purchase date. The unit comes with a 1 year warranty so I emailed Rainpoint support. I heard back within minutes. The support person was very helpful and they ended up replacing the timer. This is a great product and backed up by a responsive support team.

I purchased three, one lasted just one season. When they work they are great, I can set time(s) to water, how long and frequency during the day. The clock and valve are excellent. One did not come on when I reset them this season. I opened it thinking a battery wire was broken or separated but a chip was getting very hot and the battery was depleting. I ordered another since I like the operation when it works. I contacted the company and they told me they would ship another under warranty but I did not want to wait.
