Me recomendaron esta marca por ser una de las más reconocidas y confiables para proteger telas del agua y manchas, y la verdad no decepciona.Aunque parece que no hace nada al aplicarlo, después de rociarlo y dejarlo secar como indican las instrucciones, notas que las telas repelen el agua completamente. Lo apliqué en mis sillas blancas y hasta ahora no se han manchado con nada, lo cual es un alivio enorme porque es el tipo de mueble que uno quiere mantener como nuevo el mayor tiempo posible.No cambia la textura ni el color de la tela (al menos en mi caso), y se seca rápido. El olor no es muy fuerte, pero sí se siente al momento de aplicarlo, así que si eres sensible a los olores químicos, puede molestarte un poco. Igual, como dice la etiqueta, lo mejor es aplicarlo en un espacio abierto o bien ventilado.Consejo: cubre bien las superficies alrededor para evitar salpicaduras y aplica dos capas ligeras en lugar de una muy cargada. Así obtienes mejores resultados.

Used this on new couch and throw pillows. Sprayed as recommended, two light sprays, allowing complete drying in between. Once the second coat was dry, there was no odor and water drops bead up on the material. Very satisfied with the final results and will use again.The only negative issues are related to the actual spray process, as there is a strong smell and potential headaches. I'd strongly recommend that the person who is spraying use a cloth mask and other people or pets leave the room until the odor dissipates, maybe 30 min. Once the material is dry, there is no odor at all.

STINKS to high heaven! But easy to air out for 2 days.I deep dove in to the search for "best fabric protector" and did not arrive at any one brand being 100% "the best". Being a 3M fan, I went with Scotch Guard.LIght colored fabrics and me do NOT get along. I wear mostly black. I was going to replace my heavily soiled and stained Cashmere (very light tan) LEXUS floor mats with black ones, but decided to stay with Cashmere, but with FOUR coats of Scotch Guard.I bought two cans. One can was enough for four coats of SG on a complete new set of Cashmere Genuine Lexus floor mats for my "new" used 2007 Lexus ES350. Apparently, silicone is not the primary ingredient. But the variety of petroleum products in it are just awful smelling. Count on airing the mats OUTSIDE for two days before using them in an enclosed space. After two days 99% of the odor is gone.BUY this product despite the very fleeting temporary odor. Just something to be aware of. It goes away 100%.Value? If it works, well yeah. Effectiveness? How in the heck would I know? I just applied it. But 3M has more labs and scientists and experience than any other company selling similar products. So....there is that. Right?The car is too nice to have black mats that don't match anything. I don' live around mud or filth, so rubber all weather mats are ugly and not needed. My Lexus Cashmere mats even came with brand new Toyota clips to keep them in place.If the weather turns nasty for any kind of storm, I keep the old driver's side mat to throw down temporarily over my Scotch Guarded new one.IDK how to clean then without removing the Scotch Guard. That's why I bought TWO cans. I have a sealed can in reserve. I think one can clean light soil, several times without having to refresh the Scotch Guard. Still learning about the after care.The brand new mats look AMAZING and make the car look fabulous inside. They might as well be white, the tan is so light, therefore VERY prone to showing soiling. I DONT think they are going to STAIN with four coats of SG on each mat.I expect to re-do (clean, strip, and re-apply the Scotch Guard) the driver's side mat periodically as it gets heavily soiled.The other three mats should last at least a year or more without having to re apply the SG.

It works great! It dries fast. I've had something spill on the chair that I used the Scotchgard on and the spill wiped right up without a stain.

Used 2 cans on our new sectional. Hope it will protect as well as the $500 the furniture store was going to charge us for their protection. We kept the windows open in our family room for about 3 days until the odor was gone.

Works great for my white pillow. No spots or stains on it after using it. It does smell somewhat after using it but I left my pillow outside to air dry and air out the smell. By the end of the day funky chemical smell was completely gone. Very good product.

Scotch guard for my new furniture, I’d give a 10 star if I could! This product has saved me so much . My dogs are always running into me when I have a full cup or f coffee or full drink . Lifesaver!
