Oh yeah. It's the real McCoy
Genuine for sure. Steep on cost, but it really is the best sounding cable. A little more volume and a little more crisp on all bass mids and highs. than long one, just marvelous cables b it's also a little thinner.

Thank goodness

Expensive cable but does the job.
The cable is pricey, considering it's just an audio cable. I bought these a few years ago, but I still wonder if it does make a sound quality difference. I feel like the original thick cable you get with the HD560S sounds better, or it's a placebo. Other reviews mention the loss in sound quality so it's probably real. The original cable was just too long and tangled around my desk chair so this does the job. I guess I can see the cable being short like some others mentioned, but I have a DAC in front of my PC, so it's the perfect distance.

Quality Sound & Convenient Length
I was looking for a shorter cable for my Sennheiser HD 400 Pro's since my audio system sits close by on my desk. I did not want to deal with either of the stock cables that were 6' and 9' long. This genuine short cable fits as it should and there is no loss in sound quality. If anything, since the cable is shorter, it makes it a smidge easier to drive the headphones (less impedance). Highly recommended!

Works
bit pricey but so far the cables from Sennheiser are the longest lasting and highest quality replacements. Worth your money!

Make sure you buy the authentic replacement
Snagged the original cord on my HD 598 SR's on a door handle and it destroyed the side that plugs into the headset. I bought a cheap generic cable, hoping to put these headphones back in use, but it would not fit into the headphones. There seems to be a little groove that only fits with the authentic cable. This did the trick, but I wish it was a little cheaper.

Wish I Had Known
Seemed to be a perfect replacement, but when I got it I found it did not fit my particular Sennheiser model. The plug that needed to fit the ear piece was the correct size but the rubber base of the plug was too fat. Luckily I had a nail file that was rough enough to carefully resize the round bottom part (which conveniently had a score at about the needed quarter inch) after which it fit and worked just fine.Although I had bought the headset here on Amazon, I no longer had anything with the model number and couldn’t seem to go back far enough into my purchase history to find it. Sad that such a pricey headset came with such a flimsy cable. Before buying a new one I tried to repair the old one and found it severely lacking…too thin wires, too stretchy wire sheaths making it impossible to strip, not enough shielding. My old Beats cable was much better, but both ends were eighth inch.

The cable the HD560s SHOULD have come with
The original long cable, with it's large stereo plug, seems out of step with how most people will use a budget audiophile headphone like the 560s. Most are likely to use such headphones on a portable DAP, laptop, or even a phone. This cable make using the 560s much more pleasurable in those instances, and I notice no loss of audio quality.
