Nice and true ELM327 v1.5
I have used it in 2 cars (Cadillac and Nissan) and it works correctly with all applications. One app (to access Nissan's CVT) requires a true ELM327 v1.5 preferably with PIC18F25K80 chip. It looks to be accurate. All features are supported. ELM Identifier reports all features up to v1.5 are supported, which is exactly what would be expected. I recommend it. The only con is it is quite large and, depending on the position and direction of the OBDII port in the car, may stick out a lot. But, I guess, the chip is large and if you want to have a good/reliable one, you have to live with larger adapter.

Great product for an even better price! Not likely to find a cheaper OBDII this nice!
I'm very pleased with this product. We just recently had a thermostat go out in our 2012 Dodge Avenger, which technically the cheap corded OBDII unit my GF had purchased on WISH awhile back diagnosed the problem but I purchased this due to a couple different reasons 1 being it's unbeatable price point but also cuz in my 2003 Lincoln Town Car I've begun feeling shudders which felt like transmission issues maybe torque converter I am a DYI mechanic so I'm just guessing in the dark but on an automotive forum I discussed this situation & found it could also be engine misfire that can create the same type of shudder I've been feeling. Anyways this cheap corded OBDII was just barely advanced enough to locate the thermostat issue so I wanted to hopefully get a bit more advanced unit then our corded 1. This by far is every bit of a much better unit & does a TON more than our old corded OBDII unit. This is all depending on the application you choose also. I've seen a lot of comments stating torque is the best which I would have agreed w/ since I'd actually experienced some use w/ the torque app on a friend of mines Bluetooth OBDII unit & was impressed but since purchasing this unit I found a new app rated 4.7 on play store it's just a blue box w/ an engine symbol on the middle it's called (CAR SCANNER ELM OBD2) nothing fancy but trust me this application blows torque away by lightyrs. I found it in an effort to figure out how to possibly get this unit to monitor or diagnos transmission issues since I couldn't find any option on torque app. I can't confirm weather or not this application is capable of doing this but the reason for this is due to the sheer amount of options this application has to offer.... I've had it for 2weeks & still have not stopped finding new amazing options this application offers.... Anyways long story, apparently longer now obviously, this unit is capable of doing all the things I've needed so far & matched with this app I'm still hopeful I'll find a way to monitor transmission issues as well making it worth every penny I paid for it & honestly wouldn't have been upset if it cost me a bit more even. Thankfully it didn't tho I'm on a budget lol. FYI I NVR rate 5 Stars unless the items blow my mind from their performance as well as price. This item didn't quite do that but the nit picking I'd do about it aren't worth mentioning honestly they're so little. But don't forget to try it with the app I mentioned it's totally free on Google play store. Your surely going to be pleased with your purchase with the 2 of these items paired together! Sorry for the long review I believe in being thorough w/ product reviews! Hope it helps.

Couldnt figure it out
I plugged it into my car and connected to wifi and even downloaded the app it said to download. I could not figure out how to connect to it which therefore makes it useless to me.

Small enough to carry everyday just incase.
I got this on sale for $7. I’m a ASE master mechanic so I found it to be useful to carry with me all the time as someone is always asking me “what’s wrong with my car?”. My iPhone has no problem hooking up to it. I used it just the other day to look at a car that wouldn’t start and had no codes. Very easy diagnosis by watching oil pressure while cranking, it read zero so fuel pump would not turn on.

You will get your money’s worth!
My husband absolutely loves it! He uses it every week to check and see what codes comes up on the cars that he buys at the auctions and it’s accurate

Almost ..
It might have been nice. I wanted it to use with Torque but while Torque (lite) identifies the device it fails to talk to the ECM (and no communication LED activity on the device) l. It did work fine with Dash Commander (trial) While this was tested on a android phone, I do have an I phone. I wish I has seen that the ios /android version was only a few dollars more. (It might be a good idea if the other version was pointed out in the ad copy).

It is working!!!
I tried this OBD2 scanner for my Honda, and it gave me an error code. I went google for this error code form my Honda and model. It indicated a law suit that was filed few years ago that Honda granted the extended warranty 3 more years for my car. This little device gave me something that my dealer was not given to me. I should have bought this device long before my $1500 engine repair.

Good
Only resets the engine light. Doesn't reset the TPS or AIRBAGS which I was hoping. Still a good buyUpdate 1-2-22 It stopped working. Seems like its a Bluetooth issue or they quit updating and you must pay for software now. I emailed with no help. Hopefully its fixed. Got my moneys worth but i was really hoping this was going to be a 1 time purchase

Do not use the software that comes with it
It's a standard OBD scanner I brought it because it had some led status lights however since they are on the side when it is plugged in you cannot read them. It did connect up ok though you have to guess the bluetooth pin number 1234. It worked ok however you need some software on your phone or tablet to read it via a Bluetooth connection. The website which the manufacturer provides for this software is riddled with Malware and virus it you look at it via WIndows on your PC AVG warns against using the site and if you use a phone browser to download them even if you disable the trusted sources option on your phone wont run them. It require permissions way over what is required like contacts the ability to make a phone call and just about every single option. I downloaded a few third party apps from the google Play store and got it working.
