bought for my Child at University as a gift They love it
wow is all i can say this colour looks amazing on Bleached hair or light blonde hair i believe it glows under UV lights. there is a smell to it but not a horrible smell. If you like to stand out and not be a sheeple ( like everyone else) then this is for you .the coverage is really great .only thing i need to add is the dye is quite thick but runny so make sure you cover area and clothes so you don't get dye anywhere and it is unfortunately semi permanent but last quite a while if not in sun all the time.

Favorite hair dye
I boxdye my hair far too often so this dye is a good middle ground of good colour and not ruining my hair 10/10

Alpine Green = GORGEOUS
Stunning colour!I bleached my hair in late September, after a long think about what colour to put on my hair which was light yellow-blonde with dark auburn brown roots (6 weeks of growth while I was considering various greens and blues) I chose the Alpine Green by directions.I purchased two pots, I’m a man with really thick, shoulder length hair. But, upon applying the product, I only needed one pot to fully saturate my hair with its gel-like consistency. The pot says to wash your hair with a PH neutral shampoo before dying your hair with the product… however I used a gentle, cleansing shampoo and towelled my hair until it was damp, moisture helps spread the product in thick hair. Make sure your hair isn’t too wet though, this may cause running and your result may be patchy.Applying the dye on my hair was quite easy! If you’re careful, it doesn’t splatter, even with the extra moisture in my hair from the prior washing. It’s recommended to use a dye brush and section your hair… me being the lazy man that I am, put some gloves on and did it the old-fashioned way with my hands, sectioning my hair with my fingers. The product doesn’t smell bad, but it doesn’t smell particularly good either - it does however smell clean… if that makes sense? Anyway… 😂The dye covered my hair with only half a pot used, which is fantastic for my thick, bleached hair! So, I worked the remaining half a pot into my hair, just to be certain I had even coverage.I left the dye in my hair for 45/50 minutes, and wrapped my hair in plastic wrap, because I wanted as rich a colour deposit as possible. But, always keep in mind the guideline 20 minute advertised development time! Especially when applying to freshly bleached hair. When rinsed and dried, the colour looks AMAZING!!It’s a cool, almost metallic-looking green. Very blue based, giving an almost-iridescent shine to the colour.I still have another pot left over, for upkeep of colour, too!I’m VERY happy with the product, and ‘directions’ in general! I’ve been using their colours for 15 years and have NEVER been disappointed! They stay in my hair far better than most other brands, this includes some of the permanent hair dyes.Thank you, La Riche!!!Sam, 28, long-time customer!

Gorgeous colour - but stains more than other brands.
I'm an experienced hair dye user. Usually go with Manic Panic but the shade I wanted was sold out and this brand has a good rep (and was on sale) so decided to try. These pots are smaller than Manic Panic but I still only used 3/4 of one for short hair (pictures for reference to length of hair). The colour pay off is amazing and I can see why people like this brand but my issue with it was the skin staining. I used petroleum jelly as usual plus gloves and it has stained my fingernails (standard though for hair dye) and my skin. Usually I use cleanser to get it off my skin but this didn't work - we tried acetone and even alcohol based hand sanitiser and there's still stains on my ears and around my hairline. This is way more stubborn than both Manic Panic and Colour Freedom so *be careful* - this is the first time in 3 years of dyeing my hair I've not been able to get it off my skin and will have to wear high coverage makeup tomorrow for work.If you want a lot of colour for cheap and don't mind staining your skin for two or three days, I'd recommend this.

Gorgeous colour
Really happy with this dye, absolutely amazing colour and spread a lot further than expected (bought 2 but only needed 1 for full cover). Only thing of note is don't be stupid, use gloves! hands are still dyed blue/green almost 4 days later.

Possibly okay?
I've been dyeing my hair for years but in all honesty I don't think I'd go back to this brand, I chose what seemed like a pigmented enough oink to be able to cover my pale orange hair to avoid bleaching but unfortunately it's gone on more like a slightly tinted conditioner, barely pigmenting skin it got on, I've given it a mid rating due to benefit of doubt, seeing as it has so many positive reviews but, I won't be purchasing again I don't think

Conditioning and great price
I loved the colour in the tub and on my hair it did a fairly decent job of covering over an uneven base. The smell is great and Directions is really conditioning. I left the dye on for about an hour in the hope it would stick better. The initial result was fabulous - a lovely coral colour. However when I washed it, it very quickly became this orangey hue I wasn’t really after. I did recolour shortly after so cannot comment on longevity, however for the price I think it did the job and I did like the end result. Probably would look for a coral with a bit more of a pink tone if I was to do that sort of hair again.
