I only purchase this one, because I lost my other that I had for ages.We do use this a fair bit amount of time as an electrician it just makes striping the armour much quicker and neater then junior hacksaw. Obviously is limited on how big an armour cable you can actually strip, but still great tool.Only negative I found with this particular one is that the blades don't last as long as with my previous one. It's seems that they are not made to last and they use cheaper or less quality blades, which obviously you can replace and there is 4 or 5 ( I can't remember) attached to this stripers and replacing them is straight forward too.Other than that, spot on.Thank you.

Generally these modern type wire strippers are a brilliant innovation. They seem to strip most domestic and automotive cable and flex easily and perfectly. This particular item seems OK and is only expected to see occasional use so is ideal for my purposes. On close examination it is not clear how durable the components and construction are, but they do not seem to be over-stalwart, so frequent users might think of a different brand.

I used to own one of these years ago but found that, for most jobs, I was more comfortable using a well known utility knife.I bought these for one specific job where I needed to strip some braided cables with the least possible chance of damaging the braiding.Unfortunately, they didn't arrive in time (my fault due to late ordering) so I had to borrow a set.I experienced the same issues as I had years before ie access into the backbox to be able to remove as much of the outer insulation as possible.Don't get me wrong, they are a decent piece of kit, but not perfect for all situations.I returned the ones that I had borrowed back to their rightful owner but I have kept the ones that I purchased through Amazon (why not? They do what they are designed to do). For me, they are good, they just don't tick all of my boxes.I'm confident that these will last as long as I need them, after all, I'm supposed to be retired 🤷‍♂️.

Love an armour slice, and this does the job, but it claims to come with extra blades, but my pack is completely empty. Feel a bit cheated.
