A whirlwind romance rollercoaster
Alright, so picture this: “The Idea of You” is like diving headfirst into a whirlwind romance rollercoaster. It’s the kind of book that grabs you by the heartstrings and doesn’t let go until the very last page. So, here’s the scoop: Solène Marchand, this fierce, kick-ass art gallery owner in her 40s, unexpectedly falls for Hayes Campbell, this ridiculously hot boy band member half her age. Yeah, cue the gasps and the eyebrow raises. But hey, age is just a number, right? And Robinne Lee spins this tale with such finesse that you find yourself rooting for Solène and Hayes, despite all the societal norms and judgmental side-eye they encounter. The chemistry between them? Off the charts. You’ll be fanning yourself and swooning one moment, and ugly crying the next. Lee doesn’t hold back on the emotions, folks. And let’s talk about the glamorous settings – from Parisian art galleries to the glitzy world of celebrity. It’s like living vicariously through Solène’s fabulously chaotic life. But beware, this book isn’t just about steamy romance and jet-setting escapades. It’s also a deep dive into love, loss, and the complexities of relationships. Lee tackles tough topics with grace and honesty, leaving you with a book hangover that’ll linger for days. So, if you’re up for a rollercoaster ride of emotions, sprinkled with a generous dose of romance and glamour, then “The Idea of You” needs to be at the top of your reading list. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Intense
Wow.. its an unorthodox love story between Hayes & Solene.. the age gap & hayes' popularity act as a big barrier between the two. But some how it also proves that love knows no boundaries or reasons. It questions the patriarchal thinking of society and the intense pressure a woman feels because of her age....

Good book
Any book over 200 pages is too long and this one is almost double. The writing is great and it keeps you riveted. What's going to happen kept me going. It's It's bit long and and end is sudden. Curious to watch the film and see how they bring this to life

Out of the box kind book
I have never thought I can like this kind of story being a mother of three kids. I saw the movie first and thought about reading this book and believe me the movie is just the shell of this book. Book is better in so many ways except the ending,I liked the ending in movie better. Maybe because I am a HEA person but I felt cheated in reading the ending of the story. I loved everything about the book and read it nonstop without sleeping.i was captivated by solene and Hayes. I love them both so I thought of searching for their story on internet like they really exist, really the story felt so good , emotional overload, love sooo much. I amin love with Hayes!

A nice engaging story
A wonderful depiction of strange relationships. Is it ever easy for a woman to keep love before responsibilities?

Fantastic
I love the story from start to finish. It draws you in and shows a world of possibilities for women who feel those were not an option anymore. My only dislike is that it ended in a way that is the sad reality at this time as opposed to how it should really be... love concors all..

Love it AND hate it
The story is interesting. Is new, sexy. But then.....SPOLER ALERT....Well, guess what? I liked the whole thing until I didn't. The fans were right to hate Solène for she is such a COWARD. Like, you cannot be happy because ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS are complaining about it? Your daughter is unhappy? Okay, I get it. But she cares about what her ex husband says? His friend? The fans? Since when a dildo in the mail is a menace? The problem was Solène. Not Hayes. She was too happy yo be true and couldn't believe it, so the problem was always Hayes. He didn't have a mommy problem. He was actually mature for his age (the only moment he behaved stupidly was in the end). The problem was that Solène never had approval from her parents. SO, when she found someone that actually thought she was amazing (and "approved" her) but family and friends dont approve, she thinks it is wrong and ends it. In the end, she is the villain, the one to blame. And that for a 40yr old shows how immature she is. I actually was hoping for him and the band to die in a plane crash, that would break my heart less than having an "heroine" that lacks bravery.I do hope the movie is better. Actually, that's why I bought this book. 🫠🤦🏻♀️
