A truly solid device that will give years of service and accurate readings!.
As an avid angler I find myself fishing all over and catching some really nice fish. I fish the freshwater and the salt every season. There are times when I need a bigger gripper for landing those lunker salters or oversized freshwater legends. Like the one caught by my nephew in the picture!Having a built in scale is essential to catch and release of these. But not all are returned to the water some go home with you and they are legendary catches in angling lore. This gripper is a rugged inline version and has an internal mechanical scale that is pretty accurate. The one pictured is the alternate version with a digital readout. I have uploaded a picture of the gripper I am reviewing for clarity. A truly solid device that will give years of service and accurate readings!. No batteries to fail and a spot of oil from time to time to keep things moving.

Good scale, poorly constructed battery housing
Product works great and is honestly a great product. Never had any issues with it until tonight. I just pulled in what I assume is a 5lb fish, and went to turn on the scale and it wouldn't turn on. The batteries have come loose before so I went to pop the battery back in and noticed the black wire was no longer connected to the terminal. A small strip of what appears to be silicone is all that held it together from what it seems, and now I'm stuck with a digital scale that won't turn on.Very disappointed by the oversight of the battery compartment. It was a good item for the short time that it worked, though.Update: Reattached the black wire to the terminal, applied new silicone, let it sit for 48 hours. Took it back out and it worked again, then stopped working. Now the red wire is not connected to the terminal as it apparently just broke when I pulled the battery housing out last. I threw the whole thing in the trash. Don't waste your money.

Decent Scale with Grip
This scale does need some adjustments at first as well as occasional adjustments between uses. There is definitely a learning curve to make sure it's where you need it to be each time. Overall, though, it has been really handy. The grip is nice and secure, and the handle is comfortable to hold as well. Everybody who has seen us using it have said they really wish they had one!We have used it multiple times without any problems with the exception of having to adjust it. The grip has been easy to use as you simply pull back on a handle to open it up. Plus it holds well. I find this is much nicer and more convenient. than the little scales with a hook-like end. It has really been a great addition to our tackle box because before we were always just guessing about how big the fish were, but now we know.

Makes it easy to fat shame fish
Trying to get a fish to sit still while you shove the hook on the old style scales into its gill slits was pretty much impossible unless the fish was dead. Now you can force these shy ladies to reveal their weight without having to kill them first! I throw a lot of crappie back, but I like to know how much it weighs and how long it was, because I have friends to best. This device has made my triumphant braggery infinitely easier and also it saves lives. I don't blame the fish for not enjoying a metal hook through the gills...that is pretty much like someone weighing you by holding you up by your lungs...sounds pretty painful. If I had to choose between that and being held up by my jaw...well it is not a hard choice. I recommend this scale/lip grabber to anyone who weighs many fish. Just remember to turn it on and zero cal it before you hook it to the fish's face parts. The grabber works as well as any 20-30 dollar grabber so it is like the scale was free! Or the grabber was free and you bought the scale...anyhow...you are getting something for free. I will buy this again when I inevitably forget to secure the lanyard to my wrist and drop this bad boy in the lake.

Convienient an easy to use!
I have the KKEFG-605 model. I took this out last weekend and it completely met my expectations. First of all, even though it's a small detail, the wrist strap is a nice back up for wet hands, although the handle has some texture to it so it's pretty easy to hold onto. The scale is digital and easy to read in daylight or in the dark. It only took a few minutes to figure out the settings, they're pretty standard. The trigger is easy to pull back with one hand but still have enough pressure to hold the weight of the fish. It doesn't have to be strung through the gills like some scales...you literally don't even need to touch the fish with these! Lastly, it would be an easy feature to miss, but there is actually a tape measure at the top which is a nice little added feature! These will definitely be replacing my old set (to be fair...my old set is realllly old!). I'd highly recommend these!

Good Product For the Price
Held a 7 pound bass just fine even with it shaking around and being fussyPulled 20+ 3lb + bass out of the water with it with no issues + no lip rips + Tight gripScale is bright and easy to read + it auto locks ( holds ) your previous fish weight every time!Grip handles are easy to openDid have one negative on this item ( hence 4 out of 5 )The battery leads to the scale are VERY easy to break/rip off when pulling out the batteries.. had to re-solder the wires + lengthen them so that replacing the batteries again would not cause the same issue

Great fishing tool
I like this fishing grip has a wide & strong jaw that grab the fish firmly and it has a digital fish scale where you can see how much the fish weighs. I like the blue black-light on the digital display so I can see the measurement while fishing at night. I like that the digital scale measure fish to 1M/39 inches and in pounds or kilograms up to 55Lbs./25Kgs with temperature sensor. The handle is comfortable to hold and I like the stainless steel design. The grip is durable and very helpful while fishing in fresh or salt water to hold and weigh the fish. This grip is a great fishing tool to have in my tackle box.
