Greenwood 4 gal. Backpack Sprayer from TNM

stingy
I loved the action on this sprayer. I did not like the very small uncomfortable straps they put on it. It kinda cheapened the whole unit. but it did function well.

1800 number on manual, for parts & Spare replacement pump cup and nozzles included.
Pressures up faster with fewer pumps than most others! May be cheap but the hose flexible, light weight extra long and can easily cut off to repair, should it wear out or leak at the handle ? ! Easy to replace piston pump cup after normal wear, a little over 13 months, as I use it about 6 to 9 hours daily, professionally! Can always pick up another two or three at harbor freight or on line for a back up & STILL have less invested than any other brand. ! !

Great Value and worked flawlessly.
This unit performed just how I needed it. I applied Bora-Care to a newly framed home. I was told that given the thickness of the liquid, you could pretty much kiss your sprayer goodbye after the application. I am very relieved that this was not the case since it made this job so much easier. Perfect capacity to balance weight on my back and time out spraying. Pump worked well, no leaks. Two minor complaints...assemble was pretty straight forward but some of the connections were tough to put together...would not thread together. The second minor complaint is that the backpack somewhat shifts off of your back when you are low on fluid but still pumping. I guess this could have been fixed by tightening the straps. Great product.

Great sprayer for the money
I have an acre in the desert in AZ, which is always FULL of weeds. Used sprayer for 3 years and works great, except back pack straps broke this year(probable rotted from the sun). I went on line to look for replacement and they wanted anywhere from $12.99 up to $39.00 just for straps. I looked in my current H.F. catalog ( where I bought original) and they have exact sprayer (regular$29.99) now with coupon for $19.99. Doesn't pay to mess with new straps. I'll keep the old sprayer for parts as it still works fine. R.B. Sierra Vista, AZ

OVER PRICED
Harbor Freight has them on sale today for $24.99 reg $29.99. I too put mine away for the winter and when I got it out the handle was cracked. However, for those who can't find the part, search "HFT parts list" and then go to Greenwood. They have the handle sprayer parts cost about $8 or on Ebay from China for $4.19.I found it much better then my older two gallon. carrying it around awkward. now even at 72 I put it on my back and do my yards for weeds and the entire exterior of the house for ants and bugs. Other then the cracked handle which I probably set something on it. its been good for over two years.

Spray handle cracks easily...tough looking to repair
Do not waste your money! I use it here and there as any homeowner would...actually less because I'm not as good with getting out there to spray so you can have an idea how much use this really got. One day, I went to use it and the chemical started hissing and spraying all over me and my hand. This is not the first time as I had 2 which one I left in the shed in the back of my yard and one in the garage for easy access. Both eventually split down the middle for no apparent reason. I could understand if I always just drop the sprayer on hard ground or left it in the sun but not the case. So I am still trying to find a replacement handle for it and can't. I think I may have to try to retrofit it with another brand's which may be the easiest thing to do. I tried to epoxy the inside and no luck...it still hisses a little. So I'm stuck with 2 backpack tanks and no sprayer handle.

Leaks
Bought this at Harbor Freight for $20.00 and it's not worth it. From the very beginning handle leaked liquid all over hands. Leaked from the top all over my back. No other Mfg. parts will work with this sprayer. Should have spent another $40.00 and got something that works. Getting bathed in carcinogenic weed killer is not very healthy.
