Q: Is this vest water proof? Could I use it in a pool while I walk laps, as the water adds resistance to the workout?

I've done the following with many different weight vests to make the iron filled bags waterproof first put them inside of a ziplock bag and then put them inside of the vest.

Q: For the 80 pound vest, how many individual weights come with it, and how much do they each weigh?

10 weights, 5 in front, 5 on back. ~8lbs each

Q: How annoying is it to run with it on? Will it bounce up and down on your shoulders even if its tight around the midsection or chest?

I wear a compression shirt under it while I run, about 5 miles, and it does shift a little mostly in the shoulders it does not bother me though. Definitely the best vest I've worn while running.

Q: Is the vest (without the weights) machine washable?

As with canvas use cool or cold water in the wash cycle. I used cold, regular cycle. DO NOT use the dryer on this! Let the sun and air hit for a little over an hour and it was good to go. It didn't take long to dry the old-fashioned way as when you take it out of the washer it is not that wet considering the material in this vest.
