Size:12"x12" | Style:Rough Arches watercolor paper is made the traditional way, using a cylinder mould. This method ensures that the fibers are evenly distributed which makes the paper extremely stable, so it will not warp or stretch when water is applied to it. Arches watercolor paper is made from long, 100Percent cotton fibers, allowing it to absorb a lot of water without warping or causing the colours to bleed. It is sized to the core with natural gelatin, so it can be scratched without tearing or linting. This Internal sizing also prevents paint penetrating into the paper, allowing light to shine through the pigment and reflect off the paper while ensuring durability of the colours.

You get quality when you buy Arches
Arches watercolor block is high quality paper. I ordered the block (costs more, but worth it) that way I don't have to tape it down when painting. This paper can take more water (won't buckle too much), stays wet longer, no pilling and the color pigment shows of beautifully... I love Arches!

Block doesn't stay in tact
I love Arches paper. It's my favorite, hands down. And yet this block did not stay in tact at all. After using two pages, the subsequent pages began peeling off the block. Now, with about 5 pages left, the entire wax block is peeling of the cardboard back. It's really too bad!

Paper snob! Guilty...
O I love this paper!Didn't think it made this much difference, give it a whirl with some MGraham or Sennelier watercolors, but please don't blame me for introducing you!

Quality paper
I almost always use Arches wc paper because of its consistent quality. I like the wc blocks because I don't like to stretch watercolor paper . The only problem is that in Arizona, where it's quite dry, the pad often detaches from the backing cardboard. But, since you can use either side of Arches paper to paint on, it's not a horrible problem, just an annoyance. However, unless they really mess up this paper, I'll continue to use it as my primary source.

Expensive but convenient
Great paper and size (31x41cm) as it fits nicely in my Plein air backpack. If I use a lot of water (and I often have to since I paint in very hot, dry climate) the plastic block binding sometimes cracks but this not a deal breaker as long as I have some masking tape to secure the remaining sheets to the stiff cardboard backing as I use the remaining sheets... it is also relatively expensive compared to loose sheets but convenient for travel

Love the dimensions
Not so easy to find high quality watercolor cold press paper in a landscape format that can fit in a bun bag. This one fits the bill. Arches makes very good paper. Can't say that it's somehow superior to other high quality brands, though, and it is expensive.

Expensive, but then it is the best!
Arches Rough is the best paper for the kind of painting i do. I rarely paint larger than 1/2 imperial, so I thought I would try these ready-use pads. Not disappointed. It's up to snuff as expected. Worth the extra for the convenience. and takes up less space than the full sheets I normally buy, for not much less in money!

Lovely paper
took a little while to arrive - but that is more being used to next day delivery than fault of the seller. Lovely paper and sealed on the edges so no more taping. Note, the top sheet is protected by a piece of black card - so don't panic when you open it and think you've ordered black paper by accident!

Best watercolour paper.
Best watercolour paper in the world. Pure cotton and super smooth. You won't miss your arm and leg you spent on it unless you are an art student.

Not described as black paper
I ordered this thinking it would be white watercolour paper but recieved black. At the time of purchase it was not described as black paper.

Good product, slight postal damage
Great product at a great price though could have been packed better for shipping. Slight damage to one corner but still just about usable.
