Lots of space with this bag and the handles are pretty neat to use with the backpack straps. There's plenty of pockets for what you need to store. Only 'con' about this is that the stitching (at least on mine) seems a little ripped already on the pouch that doesn't hold the laptop. It fits my 17.3" laptop with an extra padded case just fine, but it is a tight squeeze (with no extra case its an easy fit). For the price you can't really beat it. I typically have a 5 subject notebook, my laptop with the case in it, my charger, pencils and pens/school supplies, phone charger, several other small stuff i carry all the time in here and fits great. It gets tight when you put a lunch box in there so I wouldn't recommend that.

Looks more expensive than it is, but the build quality isn't outstanding, so I question how durable this will ultimately be. Bought this for a trip to Europe because I needed a small "personal" bag, since I was doing carryon-only and the airline is pretty strict about personal bag size. All the little pockets are nice, but I found myself worrying about accidentally leaving one of them unzipped or having stuff stolen from them. I ended up wishing it had more internal zippered pockets and pouches. Also, the strap surprisingly didn't come with a padded strap pad, which I thought was a curious omission. Fully packed this little thing could get pretty heavy. The carry handles have snaps to help support them, but I found they can come unsnapped *way* too easily, and their stitching to the rest of the bag didn't look sturdy enough to support the weight of a fully loaded bag without those snaps - they probably should have used buttons or some other attachment method.I only converted it into a backpack once - it's a bit hot and seems kinda tiny as a backpack, and looks a little dainty on a 6', 205 pound guy, but it worked alright.There's a leather version of this same design that looks even sweeter and seems to be slightly better-constructed, but which still doesn't look to have a padded strap - an odd omission at that price point.  Tiding Men Expandable Genuine Leather Briefcase, Convertible Laptop Backpack Shoulder Tote Bag Fits 14 Inch Laptop  I considered buying it for the trip, but passed due to some of the reported drawbacks - there are reports the color on the leather rubs off on clothing, which is a problem for a backpack. It's heavier than this bag as well, which itself is really light for this size. Didn't really want to schlep more heavy luggage around Europe.Still, I think I liked this bag better than I liked a sleek grey laptop bag I recently picked up off of Amazon, which ended up looking not-so-sleek when even modestly loaded with stuff. I may switch over to using this as my everyday laptop bag instead, or possibly take a chance on the leather version.

After ordering and returning seven laptop bags, this one really does fit my 17" HP laptop- hooray!!! Lots of pockets to fit accessories, easy to convert to a backpack through the airport, very sturdy construction. UPDATE- I had to give mine to my husband before he went overseas since his old case (not this one) gave up the ghost as we were packing it. We fit his MP3 player, Kindle, several chargers, notebook, pens, snacks, headphones, earbuds, laptop and quite a few other things in this case. He appreciated the backpack feature when hauling this and his other luggage through the airports. So far, it's handled a whole lot of travel very well with no sign or wear and tear. Being able to convert the straps to whatever format fits your current needs is a big help when traveling.

Used to use Netbooks, but now have 15" and while it fit in the backpack I have it did not fit WELL. THIS does the trick perfectly, and room for a Netbook also, and camera, and 2 phones, trackman marble mouse, kensington marble, all the cords I need, an Altec speaker, all my odds and ends like nail clippers, pens, wallet and MORE. THIS one, while they all look the same is the one to go for because of those metal rivets at the handle end. They are actually pretty big, decently heavy snaps, and the handle is still sewed into the main back at the and TOO. There's a magnet "snap" that you can open, tuck the handles down into a BIG pocket (i mean big enough to fit a paper back book, or say some spare cash, tho I suppose it's mostly meant to stash the handles while you are in backpack mode). There are almost too many pockets. The front outside pocket zippers are perfect for receipts and bus tickets and such. It's perfect. The only problem is that there is SO MUCH storage that one might be tempted to load it to the breaking point of some handle point. I have some old Dacron braided fishing line just in case :) The canvas is good weight for repairs. I expect to use this for a LONG time. It's a VERY useful essential travel item for me now. It would be worth double the $25 I paid for it.now the page I got this from showed 15.5 inch wide, but it's really 15. Now the page shows 14.9 which I'd say is accurate. 15'' fits fine...it's a soft bag.

I carry a lot of crap in my "purse". I hate messenger style bags with flaps that close it or tote style bags that I can never find what I'm looking for in. This bag is versatile and has loads of partitioned places to store things. I also like the option to carry as a crossbody bag, a backpack or a handbag. My previous bag I loved and had for years, but it was fake leather and while the bag never fell apart, it eventually began to deteriorate and it shed the outer "leather" lining everywhere. I don't believe this bag will do that since it's a sturdy fabric. All hardware and straps are also sturdy and should hold up well to weight and my abuse. Simple, attractive, sturdy, and functional. I recommend for guys or gals!
