SKMEI GZ-034 Tuscan Style Non-Ticking Silent Wood Wall Clock, 12-Inches

The colors are a bit more muted than depicted in the picture on the web page but still it is a really nice, well constructed clock. The hands are exposed but the clock came packaged nicely and with a protective plastic bubble over the hands, and they were not bent in the least. I like that the second hand has a sweeping motion and not the jerky stop-start motion that so many clocks have. It is perfectly silent. As for the type of battery the manufacturer recommends (carbon zinc) I started to order from Amazon but discovered that for some strange reason they take forever to be shipped, and they were very pricey. I found a 4-pack of Panasonic carbon-zinc batteries at Fred's, a local economy store, for less than $2. I have only had the clock for 2 days but it is keeping perfect time and all in all I am very well pleased with it.

I loved this clock! I can clearly read the time from far away and it doesn't make a sound. Has a vintage look to it.UPDATE:Originally bought this in July of 2015 now in April 2017 it's having trouble keeping time. About six months ago I changed the battery but kept having trouble. I thought it was the replacement battery, bought new batteries checking the expiration date. Still, it will keep time perfectly for a week then when I fail to check it is off by three to five hours all at once. Go figure. Well, it's time to buy another...

The colors are not as vibrant as the photo. Size is accurate but it is not really made of wood. It looks to be made of a cheap laminate. As a clock it works and even though the colors are more muted, I'll keep it.

The wood is beautiful, the first one I ordered was exactly as described. I reordered again, this item, from my history, and instead got a non-silent ticking clock.I don't mind the black hand, or even the ticking clock, but that's not what I ordered. 3/5 for non-uniform inventory and production.

This clock looks good, but bad at keeping time. I bought it 3 years ago in June, 2015. This clock worked good only for first few months, about 5 to 6 months perhaps or shorter. It slows down after 10 15 hours even with new battery in. Over three years I have used suggested alkaline batteries, and tried other regular AA batteries, with same result.With my experience I would not recommend this clock.

After reading some of the reviews, I was skeptical about the value of this clock; however, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it works exactly like it says....it is totally quiet and keeps perfect time. I also love the rustic French look. It is not very substantial but seems to be holding up well so far...a great looking clock for a French country look.

Ok for the price. I had to bend the hands a little to make them not hit each other and get stuck. After I got that issue fixed, it kept good time.

It's a lovely clock. But the description says "silent non-ticking" and there it is in my bedroom TICK TOCK TICK TOCK. It has quite pronounced ticking and is most definitely not silent.
